Anticipated to be one of the nation's highest grossing automotive sites, more than 45,000 cars are expected to sell at the Santan MotorPlex annually. To date, Ford, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Suzuki, Pontiac/Buick/GMC, Subaru, Saturn and Hyundai have announced plans for stunning, state-of-the-art dealerships at Santan MotorPlex - the first auto park in Arizona history with more than 80 percent of its land sold prior to opening. Announcements regarding additional dealerships and features at are forthcoming.
The Santan MotorPlex will provide the city of Gilbert with $60 million in sales tax revenue over the next 10 years. Revenue collected will be used to fund essential city services such as police and fire, as well as quality of life enhancements including parks and libraries. Work is well underway and the first dealership, Santan Ford, is scheduled to open in Fall 2006.
Santan Motorplex continues to break the mold by building a 40-foot high loop-to-loop sculpture to mark the entrance of the states largest auto mall. The project's very unusual and captivating 40-foot entry feature is set to be installed in early summer 2006 and will be a signature piece of public art for Southeast Valley residents.
