Main
Street Commons is a mixed-use project
with preliminary plans calling for860,000
square feet of upscale retail and office
space. Groundbreaking is scheduled for
summer of 2005, and opening in 2007.
Woodbine
Southwest Corporation is reinventing
the typical shopping experience with
the new Main Street Commons in Gilbert,
Arizona. Just as Kierland Commons has
become the retail and dining hotspot
for Northeast Phoenix and Scottsdale,
Main Street Commons will become a community
destination for residents in the Southeast
Valley and beyond.
The concept of Main Street Commons was
brought to fruition through an initiative
to create “Today’s Version
of Yesterday” in Gilbert, Arizona.
This new village concept will engage
its shoppers with a sense of place reminiscent
of America’s traditional downtowns.
Main Street Commons will feature a central
community plaza with a spirited water
feature, convenient on-street parking,
diverse multi-storied building facades
and canopied pedestrian pathways. Energetic
retail, specialty dining, parades, community
festivals, and live concerts will all
be a part of Main Street Commons.
